We got over 2,000 items in our Afghan Refugee Donation Drive, an amount to celebrate. However, even before we could start accepting donations, one of the most challenging tasks of organizing this campaign was figuring out where all these donations would go. We couldn't just keep them all in a room forever.

So, Where Did Everyone's Donations Go?

All of the donations went to the Afghanistan Youth Relief Foundation, a nonprofit that connects with in-need families directly to provide supplies. After loading everything into the car, we drove to their drop-off center and delivered the donations.

Dropping The Donation Of

The process of collecting and dropping donations was no small feat, with us having to take over five trips to get all the items over there. Our last trip had a lot of mixed emotions. We were ready to put a close on this campaign, but we also wanted to continue and create a more significant impact than we had done so far.

We settled on closing this campaign and looking at other issues in our community. Luckily before we left, we were able to speak to the organizer of this drop-off location, Noor, and got this memorable picture to look back on.
